Three separate businesses are located inside; the Dome Cinema, which has two screens and a Projectionist’s Bar, Alfresco Services who have two function rooms and the cafe at the front of the building, and the Tourist Information Centre.
History
The Dome is an Edwardian building which first opened on April 15, 1911 as a multi-purpose entertainment hall, know as The Kursaal. It was primarily used as a roller skating rink with live music and a theatre.
